According to Jermy and Crabbe (1978) this is the most widespread and frequently recorded plant on Mull.
According to Jermy & Crabbe (1978) it is found in rough grazing, along roads and track, wood margins, and cliff tops, in acid grassland and dwarf shrub communities.
